OpenMausBot: your own team of AI bots
These release notes cover seven commits — and I didn't write them. An AI bot did, on my own machine, in about a minute. And before it ran a single command, it asked me.
OpenMausBot is an open-source (Apache) app that gives you a team of AI bots in a chat window, running on an agent you already have (e.g. Claude Code) — no extra subscription, data stays in a folder in your home directory. I build a bot from soul, model, computer, approvals and routines, let "Remy" write release notes for the demo shop (29 cents on my Claude account), then add "Vera", who checks every claim against the code before writing the README announcement.
Good to know: you pay your model provider per run, API keys are stored in plain text in config.json, and routines only run while the app (or a server you set up) is running.
